I think it is in the movie”Paddhitaal Mattum Poduma”. I think, in limited dosage, this can be a good Post-main song in a concert. I guess it is subjective and to me it would depend on how it is stretched when sung i dont remember how it is done here. In what form was this song originally released? In C3 I would rather he wrote ‘bAgEsvari’ rather than ‘bAgEsri’ to maintain the praasam than try to squeeze in correct raga name.

TMS’s CM cred comes through to some extent. But I agree aruLvAi would run smoother.
Karpagavalli Nin-TMS-by Daddyba – Cooltoad
I have not heard anyone else sing this song either. Last edited by rshankar on Mon Nov 26, 1: Was it on a 78 RPM disc both sides? The disc would be of the same size as the presect CD’s, and would play for six minutes on each side. Hence I decided I will find out the lyrics and learn.
The rAga mudra fits in beautifully in most of the caraNas excepts for the last one, where it feels a bit ‘stuck on’ – could very well have been ‘bhairavIyE rakSippAi’. Such a reverbrating song. I never knew She is the Goddess invoked at Mylapore. Hope I have given the right words. I think it is in the movie”Paddhitaal Mattum Poduma”.
Where will I get the audio for downloading. As you said it is ‘anjanam mai — – – – – – -. In mumbai I have heard mami’s singing. This is TMS’ version.

I have not heard anyone but TMS sing this. I shall save those lyrics. In C3 I would rather he wrote ‘bAgEsvari’ rather than ‘bAgEsri’ to maintain the praasam than try to squeeze in correct raga name.
If you are awre karppagavalli any audio pl. I think, in limited dosage, this can be a good Post-main song in a concert.
As i was tryng to get hold of this song I think happened to read in one of those links. Some of our members were also discusing some aspects of this song Regards to all.
Karpagzvalli someone who can help me in singing the composition. The voice sounds like it is from his younger days? I have not listened to this song in a long while and it is good to listen to it again. I guess it is subjective and to me it would depend on how it is stretched when sung i dont remember how it is done here.
As a matter of coincidence I could hum this song at Woodlands Mylapore for my Daughter’s wedding. Thank You In Advance. Is this the veeramaNi who also wrote ‘naLinakaanthimathi’ made famous by karpagavslli Any way iam not sure’ But the way you have put it what else could I do other than laugh.
